Over and over, Ronny and Tania kept hearing the same thing from neighbors and second homeowners in the Catskills: “It’s impossible to find good help you can trust.” People were frustrated—contractors who didn’t show up, repairs that were paid for but never fixed, cleaners who cut corners, and unhappy Airbnb guests left behind.
The two of us had a different experience. Whenever Ronny or Tania took on a project, the feedback was always the same: “You actually show up, you finish the job, and you’re fair.” What we thought was just common sense—keeping your word and taking pride in your work—turned out to be rare.
That’s when it clicked. If we combined our skills, our local roots, and our connections, we could do more than just complete jobs ourselves—we could help homeowners avoid the stress of trial and error altogether.
So we started The Catskills Connection. Our goal is simple: to take the guesswork out of who to hire, and to connect you with the same reliable, hardworking professionals we’d trust with our own homes. We may not be able to do it all ourselves, but we know exactly who can.

With over two decades of hands-on experience, Ronny is a seasoned carpenter known for his craftsmanship, reliability, and deep industry knowledge. He began his career working on modular home finishes and renovation projects, steadily building his expertise and reputation. Today, Ronny specializes in full-scale new home construction—from the sill plate to the ridge cap—handling every phase of the build with precision and pride.
Beyond his technical skills, Ronny brings strong project management abilities to the table. He’s well-connected to a vast network of trusted contractors and service providers, ensuring that every job runs smoothly from start to finish. His clients consistently praise his attention to detail, professionalism, and the outstanding quality of his work.

Meet Tania Selkirk – Property Manager
Tania was born and raised in Boiceville, NY, and is proud to call the Catskills home. A graduate of Onteora High School, she went on to earn her Bachelor’s degree from SUNY New Paltz and a Master’s degree in Education from Walden University. After nearly a decade teaching high school mathematics, the pandemic inspired her to transition from education into the hospitality industry, where she applied her leadership and organizational skills in a new “entrepreneurial” way.
As second homeowners flocked to the Catskills during the pandemic and later resumed their work lives in New York City, Tania’s part-time cleaning work naturally evolved into comprehensive property management for short term rentals. A Catskills homeowner herself since the age of 21, she understands firsthand the challenges of maintaining a home in the region. Over the past five years, she has honed her problem-solving skills to handle everything from routine maintenance to unexpected emergencies with efficiency and care. Dedicated and detail-oriented, Tania goes above and beyond to meet her clients’ needs and ensure their peace of mind. Tania knows what it takes to create a seamless and memorable Catskills experience, anticipating every detail to make guest stays exceptional.
